Activision's Call of Duty: Black Ops has claimed the All Formats All Prices UK Video Game Chart No.1 spot, GfK Chart Track reports.

Black Ops managed to fend off EA's FIFA 11, Ubisoft's Just Dance 2 and new entry Kinect Sports at No.4. Football Manager 2011, last week's No.1, slipped four places to No.5.

Kinect Sports wasn't the only Kinect for Xbox 360 title to chart. Dance Central is at No.13, Motion Sports begins its life at No.15, Fighters Uncaged is new at No.23, Kinectimals is off to a slow start at No.26, Kinect Joy Ride is off the starting line at No.30, Your Shape starts at No.33 and Sonic Free Riders rounds off the new entries at No.38.

The week's only other new entry is SEGA's Sonic Colours at No.36.

VideoGamer.com Analysis

Black Ops was a dead cert for the No.1 spot, shifting 1.4 million units in one day, but will the record-breaking title be able to hold it until Christmas. Bookmaker Paddy Power has the game as the 1/6 odds on favourite to take the festive crown.

Kinect Sports came out as top dog of the Kinect launch line-up, but Dance Central also managed a respectable first week, charting at No.13 - much better than the multi-platform Rock Band 3 could muster. The launch of Kinect and Black Ops also appears to have taken the wind out of Fable 3's sales, the game slumping 13 places to No.16.

Elsewhere GoldenEye 007 fell seven places to No.20 in its second week, while Blood Stone fell only four places and is now on the tail of the Wii shooter at No.22.

The week's major flop has to be Sonic Colours, which despite generally positive reviews failed to find an audience and limped rather than raced into the chart at No.36.

Friday sees the release of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, each with a great chance at taking the No.1 spot from Black Ops. Our money's on the latest instalment in the Assassin's Creed franchise, given the massive marketing push the game has received.

I think that BlOps will out do GT 5, although, everyone who desperatly wanted BlOps probably now has it, however, MW2 was still selling quite high a couple of weeks back.

On a side note, Uncharted 2 sold 1 million units within a couple of weeks and I don't think that this will be enough to out do the mammoth that is BlOps and Uncharted is, arguably, the consoles best exclusive.

...For now

Hmmmm.. maybe.

This news isn't surprising, but it'll be interesting to see how such a prime a console exclusive fares numbers-wise.
