After claiming it was'not aware' of a PlayStation 3 version of Eternal Sonata, which has until now looked like an Xbox 360 platform exclusive, Namco Bandai now has the game listed on its official US website as a title due for release on both PS3 and 360.
Similarly, the website now lists Beautiful Katamari as due for release on the Wii, 360 and PS3, despite Namco Bandai recently pitching the game only on the Xbox 360. Initially the eccentric ball rolling game was due for release on Xbox 360 and PS3, but poor sales of Sony's console and porting issues lead to the news that the PS3 version had been cancelled.
Regardless of the company's rather chaotic release announcements, gamers should be delighted that these unusual games are coming to so many formats. Eternal Sonata is expected to arrive on UK shores for the 360 this October, while Katamari's release date is still to be confirmed.
