Because Sony and MS 'don't like speaking to each other'.
Ubisoft "wished" it could allow PS3 and Xbox 360 owners to play upcoming voice-command strategy game Tom Clancy's EndWar against each other but decided it was "impossible" because Sony and Microsoft "don't like speaking to each other", Julian Gerighty, editorial content director at Ubisoft Shanghai told VideoGamer.com at Ubidays last week.
EndWar, which is set for release on Xbox 360 and PS3 simultaneously this October or November, is a console-only strategy game which can be played entirely through voice command. Set in the near future, players pick from the Americans, Europeans and Russians and attempt to dominate the world in WW3.
Gerighty's comments come as no surprise - we've never seen a video game that has allowed owners of Sony and Microsoft consoles to play against each other, and are never likely to either.
"I wish we could play cross-platform," he told VideoGamer.com. "That would be nice. It's impossible. Sony and Microsoft don't like speaking to each other."
We can't even begin to imagine the trash talking that would have been heard online had Gerighty's wish come true!

If so emoism would be on the rise, because knowing me I would make sure I win in a argument against a fanboy. There bloody idiots, but I'm liking this voice command system sounds great. Could be a new revolution to RTS games using voice commanding, would be excellent for the PC.

If voice command was used online wouldn't the other player hear you? or would it be 'Allies Only' voice chat?

Voice control is dodgy IMO, using voice control on vista was hard work! lol (thought id give it ago for a laff)
As forcross platforms playing, i think it would be a great idea! But due to pathetic compnays being childish TRUE gamers really miss out once again. Realy wished these stupid fanboys would just accept both consoles have great potential!
P.s Wido well said about increase of fanboyism, its bound to happen lol
