Date for Duke Nukem Forever still tba

Series co-creator says 2008 date along with PS3 and Xbox 360 releases is not official.

George Broussard, co-creator of the much loved Duke Nukem series of games, has responded on the 3D Realms forums denying that the developer had announced the game's release date to the Dallas Business Journal.

"In what appears to be an unfortunate turn of events, there seems to have been some confusion between what was 'off the record' and what was not," said Broussard. "I suppose we're used to dealing with gaming press and not mainstream press. Lesson learned."

Broussard continued: "While we have internal targets, dates and goals, like every developer, we are not ready to share them."

DNF's release date is still "when it's done" and Broussard notes that "platforms have not been finalised or announced". However, more of the game will be seen "sooner than later".
