DuckTales Remastered News for Xbox 360

DuckTales Remastered flaps onto Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U this summer

Capcom has announced DuckTales Remastered, an HD remake of the 1989 NES platformer heading to Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation Network and the Wii U eShop this summer.

Developed by WayForward Technologies, DuckTales Remastered follows Scrooge McDuck through a series of side-scrolling environments and features "luscious hand-drawn" sprites set aback 3D backgrounds.

As well as improved visuals, the HD update includes "new controls, additional areas [and] a Duckburg museum to track your progress", and features remastered versions of the original game's 8-bit music tracks. You can even swim in Scrooge's money bin.

The original NES release is fondly remembered by fans for its excellent platforming and soundtrack which, judging by the trailer, Capcom hasn't forgotten.

Give it a watch. I guarantee you'll be singing along by the time it comes to an end.

God I miss my childhood - Ducktales was one of my childhood cartoons. Anyways World of Illusion... I recall a Mickey game with him jumping on bouncy leaves... was that the same one I wonder.

I have no idea. I doubt it would have the same charm though. World of Illusion looked gorgeous enough even back then.

Wasn't Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion on 3DS supposed be a continuation or at least heavily based off that game/ series (mickey illusions games)?

Then again power of illusion wasn't a good game, so a remastering would be better.

For some reason I dont think i actually played Duck Tales, Quackshot came immediately to mind. but this looks pretty awesome :)

Now all we need is a re-imagining of Mickey & Donald's World of Illusion. Now THAT would be awesome.

In my books they're the guys who made the Shantae games, the guys who made mighty series and the guys who made contra 4, so really I only know them for their good handheld game heritage. They also did the "boy and his blob" remake which was good.

But I did hear Double dragon Neon was somewhere between, so bad it's good and so bad it's awful, so I guess they have a checkered history on console.
