Surely Doom 4 has to be shown this year - doesn't it?
Bethesda has announced that registrations for QuakeCon 2011 will open this Thursday at 7pm CST - that's 1am on Friday for us Brits.
Once registration opens you'll be able to register for the exhibit hall, BYOC and premium packages.
QuakeCon 2011 takes place August 7-11 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, TX. Further details on what will be going down at the event will be revealed at a later date.

We expect the August event to heavily promote upcoming titles Rage and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, but all eyes will be on John Carmack and the hope of seeing a Doom 4.
