Doom success bodes well for future id XBLA games

id Games CEO Todd Hollenshead has revealed that the success of Doom on XBLA will determine future id releases on the service.

Speaking to Firing Squad, Hollenshead said that id is "looking at bringing some of the other games to Xbox Live Arcade." This, however, will largely "depend on the response to DOOM" - which according to Microsoft has so far been "fantastic"

id Games has a rich back catalogue of titles, many if which are perfectly feasible releases for Xbox Live Arcade: Wolfenstein 3D, Heretic, Hexen, and DOOM II to name a few. Don't expect much of a warning prior to a new XBLA game launch either, Hollenshead says id will remain pretty quiet about things until the game's release was imminent.
