Disney Infinity looking like a 'sure-fire hit,' says GAME

Video games retailer has already been inundated with pre-orders.

GAME is tipping Disney Interactive Studios' Skylanders rival Disney Infinity to be a hit when it's released this summer.

"We are really excited about Disney Infinity and we know our customers are too - we've already been inundated with pre-orders online and in-store and it's looking like this will be a sure-fire hit," said GAME's category director Charlotte Knight

Knight added: "This is yet another huge announcement for what promises to be an incredible year for the video games industry."

GAME is taking pre-orders for the Disney Infinity Starter Pack and extra characters for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, Wii U and Nintendo 3DS - a release date pegged at June 28.

The only thing I can contribute to this conversation is that I also prefer the term 'advance order'. Pre-order makes no sense.

The statement does say online, but I think your point is one that needs to be taken into count. However, even without advance orders (can we PLEASE banish the word "pre-order" into the bins of history where it belongs?), this looks a pretty safe bet. I don't generally advance order, but I would hand the cash over for this right this second, sight unseen. (If only so I can find the in-game Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh and virtually beat his brains out for a few hours.)

GAME pre-orders don't count for *****! Pushy sales tactics acquire those pre-orders. Just ask Nintendo. GAME was a huge cause of the 3DS launch ***** up. I've been in that place twice since the take-over and both times been vocally pushed into giving money for pre-orders and reward cards.
