A possible teaser image for Dishonored 2 has appeared online, hinting at the possibility of an E3 2014 reveal.

While it isn't clear where the image originated from, it features the supposed logo for Dishonored 2 along with the hashtag #DarknessOfTyvia and text telling players to "Witness the full reveal at E3 2014".

Logos for Bethesda and the original game's developer Arkane Studios are also featured in the lower left and right hand corners.

While Arkane is known to be working on a new title – believed by many to be a sequel to Dishonored - Bethesda has yet to reveal what it may be.

A sequel to Dishonored is almost guaranteed to happen, though, after the original managed to "far exceed" the publisher's sales expectations. "We clearly have a new franchise," Bethesda said at the time.

E3 2014 kicks off on June 10.

I am happy for more stealth games of any kind. Dishonoured was probably created as a one off, purely because of the concept and the surprise by Arkane of its success. A series isn't necessarily bad for it, but having not planned for it may mean some issues and degradation of quality.
I have confidence if it is real that it will be good.

Dishonored doesn't really seem like a game that needs a sequal but I could be wrong. A Silent Hill image has also been doing the rounds.

I think Dishonored's world is rich for a sequel, it doesn't necessarily have to follow on anything related to Corvo and Dunwall, it could be set in a different city, or even a different time period, but still be linked through things like The Outsider and the Whale Oil technology. There's so much they could do because they put a lot of effort into the history and background lore of the world so there's a lot that could be explored.

I'd rather we didn't have a sequel for sequel's sake, regardless of the game. It's not an either or.

Perhaps not, but would you rather a sequel to this, or a poor sequel to the subsequel Thief?

Two minds as to whether, if true, it'd be a good thing. Dishonored was an amazing game, and I've little doubt a sequel would be good too. Is it a game that really needs a sequel though?

I really ought to finish Dishonored, played through the first few levels but it always got pushed down the "to play" pile as more things were released.

I hope it is true. Dishonored was brilliant and felt really fresh. Although an announcement of Dishonored 2 would bury Thief more so than it already has.
