Devil May Cry series has shipped 10 million

Latest in the series has sold 2.2 million copies.

Capcom has announced that the Devil May Cry series has shipped 10 million copies worldwide. The first game in the series was released in 2001. The latest game, Devil May Cry 4, was released in 2008 and has gone on to sell a record breaking 2.2 million copies.

Capcom also noted it is applying the brand power of the Devil May Cry series to various other forms of entertainment, such as comics, novels, action figures and anime - including the Blu-ray release of the Devil May Cry anime.
