Play Dead Space 3 on Sunday at selected GAME stores
The first in a series of planned after-hours EA-sponsored community events.
GAME has announced a series of after-hours gaming events taking place across the UK at selected GAME stores, giving consumers the chance to try out unreleased EA games.
The first of the "EA lock-ins" will feature Dead Space 3 and is set to take place on a variety of Sundays beginning on January 6.
In addition to playing the upcoming sci-fi action title, EA and GAME will be providing a variety of snacks and drinks to those in attendance.
You can register for the events by visiting a participating store or send them a tweet to be in with a chance of taking part. Spaces are limited, and you must be over 18.
Anna-Marie Mason, marketing director at GAME said: "We are extremely excited about partnering with EA to offer customers an exclusive sneak peek at their latest titles at the upcoming lock-ins. They're going to be really fun events where the gaming community can get together to test out the latest games and swap notes with a drink in hand and snacks on tap – what more could you want?!"

Call people by the name they have chosen to be known by. That's the point of an alias. If I meet you in real life, or we're friends on a network in which I call myself by my real name, then by all means call me Leon. But, on here my name is munkee. I don't see any other real names either. So, out of respect I would only refer to each of you by the alias that you've chosen. So, should everybody.
In fairness, if you disagree. That's cool by me and I won't mention it again.

But as for the topic... will people be forced to stand to play these games at the stores? Cause if that's so I can't stand (heh) playing games standing up.

And in reply to bevan's post, it's not a community event at all. It is advertising, pure and simple. I guess I can meet half way and agree that it's community advertising. =P
As for the stuff about EA's only concern being to make the community better and not sell a game? I will assume that I am reading that incorrectly because I can assure you all that EA's only concern is to sell games.

His name is on his profile and it's not to appear that I know them it's just I naturally learn people's name on here from Xbox live chat/gaming or whatever. People on here call me by my name as well so it's just not me :P and I'm not a massive fan of usernames.
My username on here for starters is pretty much my real name and some just call me bev or rich.
Sometimes I call people by their real name, sometimes I call them by their username thats just how it is.

What a lovely idea. And there I was thinking they're just advertising their new stupid game.

EA were in Cardiff just before Christmas showing off FIFA and Dead Space etc but the bloke told me there was a bit of a wait for Dead Space 3 so I didn't bother.
Someone will be getting it for me on my birthday anyway :P and I already said yeah to doing co-op on it with someone, so tough luck if it's rubbish but if they are showing it around, can't be too bad of a game.
