This can only be as successful as Kinect, and it's just far too expensive to reach mass audiences at launch. It will mean nothing to the target audience of this game that "Harmonix" is plastered over the box, and the only people who that will mean something to is those who have already declared complete apathy towards this genre.
If Kinect is successful over a long period of time, this game will sell well, but I don't exactly see it being a smash hit this year.
Dancing game will be huge(for Kinect).Do I want it?Not a chance, and I love Singstar. The big question is will girls get a 360/Kinect for this when they already have Just Dance on the Wii?Probably not.
I'm looking forward to this, thanks for the insights Jamin. MS should rethink their strategy and bundle Kinect with Dance Central, that could really push sales.
A little question: After giving me a pretty sharp mental picture in the first paragraph, you didn't happen to take a real picture of the "perfect girl" you described? Just askin' ;-).
The missus is really looking forward to this one Jamin. She likes all that stuff and when a non gamer is talking about playing games such as this it can only lead to one thing massive sales.
I've also as requested now made a mental highlight of your words.

Seeing as I'm their target audience I think my opinion is more important than anyone else's.
