Microsoft has announced that Ruffian Games' Xbox 360 exclusive, Crackdown 2, will be released worldwide in July, arriving in UK stores on July 9, 2010.

The sequel to the award-winning 2007 original, Crackdown 2 promises unprecedented freedom in multiplayer gaming, allowing friends to join up online and explore, destroy and play however they wish as they restore justice to Pacific City.

The game had earlier been rumoured for release on June 11.

Coolio , still a bit weary of the zombies @ nite deal but my birthday is the wk prior so may be asking for it

I hope the current box shot turns out to be the final design. Looks pretty sweet to me.
