Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package detailed
News
Features five maps, including two fan favourites.
Last week Activision announced the March 30 release of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package DLC, but offered no info on the contents of the pack.
Over the weekend, however, a listing for the content on Xbox LIVE Marketplace revealed the pack will offer five multiplayer maps, including two remakes from Call of Duty 4:
Bailout: A multi-level apartment complex
Storm: An open industrial park littered with heavy machinery
Salvage: A snowy junkyard fortified by stacked debris and crushed cars
Call of Duty 4 Maps: Crash, a war-torn urban environment; and Overgrown, which features a massive dry creek bed
The Stimulus Package will be released first on Xbox 360.

For years we get told that piracy is killing games and that is why the prices are high, if more people buy the product then due to spreading the cost and more income the price can come down.
The third best selling game of all time (apparently) has now got a map pack come out and on the platform where you already have to pay to play they are trying to get people to pay 'more' to play and now to add further insult to injury they are trying to charge 1200 points (about £9.50?) for 5 maps?
I hope that IW and activision sink without a trace and this is the iceberg that does the damage if this is a sign of things to come.
And to put it into context - perfect dark, remade to run on the 360 so i'm guessing it had quite a bit of work put into it is 800 points and equals god knows how many hours of play.

It's even more irritating when you think you're actually only getting three new maps and two re-hashes. Halo suffered from this too, but at least they kept a price-cap. 1200 MS points...Madness!
