Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition revealed

Includes a working set of night vision goggles.

Infinity Ward has unveiled the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition, which could possibly go down as one of the coolest collector's sets ever released.

In addition to the standard edition, and Hardened Edition (a steelbook set), the most hardcore Call of Duty fans will be able to splash the cash on the Prestige Edition. This bumper box set includes a copy of the game (Hardened Edition), art book, download code for the first Call of Duty game and wait for it... a working set of night vision goggles! You'll also get a sculptured head on which the goggles can be fitted for display purposes.

Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling has kindly put together a video showing all the contents of the Prestige Edition, which you'll find over on YouTube.

We're waiting to here back from Activision regarding availability and pricing in the UK.

I don't want to piss on the parade, but they won't be real nightvision goggles. I have basic nightvision on an el-cheapo camcorder, so it'll probably use similar tech to that.

Sorry, that was really miserablist of me. The night vision on my Panasonic is actually lots of fun to mess around with... I guess i'm just dreaming about getting this as a freebie:

This is utterly ridiculous in a very awesome way. Obviously it'll be hideously expensive, but god dammit if NVG's aren't the absolute best add in to a game I've ever seen.
