Cryptic wants to bring its MMO platform to PS3

Currently only runs on PC and Xbox 360.

A job listing by Cryptic Studios over on Craigslist has revealed that the MMO specialist - currently developing Champions Online and Star Trek Online - is looking to hire PS3 specialists to ports its MMO platform to Sony's console.

"We have developed a flexible, cutting edge MMO platform to power games like Champions and Star Trek Online. It runs on PC and XBOX 360 - now we want to support PS3 too," explained the job post.

Successful candidates will need a "thorough understanding of the PS3 - SPUs, RSX, SPURS multi-threading, etc."

Champions Online has been announced for release on PC and Xbox 360 under the publishing guidance of 2K, while Star Trek Online doesn't have any platform specifics.
