Capcom has announced Dead Rising 2: Case West, an epilogue coming exclusively to Xbox 360.

The new chapter will see new protagonist Chuck working together with photo journalist Frank West. No further details were given.

We're not sure if this is a standalone game like Case Zero or DLC for Dead Rising 2.

Speaking of Case Zero, Capcom has also announced that the downloadable title has sold over 500,000 units.

Oh hell yes, day one purchase for me. DR: Case Zero was a fantastic (albeit) slice of zombie-action, and so I hope this sells just as well. I'm happy paying for as much content as they can deliver for this series.

I've gotten to the point that I don't care about exclusives, given that both consoles are now affordable enough to own together so the whole console-war thing is a moot point. When you think about it, lately, many titles have favoured one platform with more content than the other. For the PS3 side, look at Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Mafia 2, and Batman: Arkham Asylum. If that little extra slice *is* so important, buy the version for that platform.

Case 0 put me completely off Dead Rising 2 so this is a non-starter for me.

Its all money, money at the end of the day. If Sony users want exclusive content on a multiplatform game, then Sony needs to do something about that. Especially with PSN+, you would think something will happen in terms of exclusive content in that department.

It's all getting a bit stupid now, even if you have multiple consoles, buy the 360 version for the extra content - then at a later date an ultimate version is released for PS3 with the additional content and then a little more - or with all the content that you have already paid for on the 360 included free on the disc. Just makes you feel like waiting for 6 months and seeing what ends up being the better value for money in the end. Keep exclusive titles as exclusive titles - competition is good - but don't neglect one portion of your fan base just for a couple of extra quid and don't call a title Multiplat and then favour one system over the other!

This and Mass Effect 2 is sort of blurring the lines between exclusive and multiplatform. Sure you're getting the same title, but you're not getting the same experience because it's missing a lot of context on PS3 for these two titles.

Really, if anything, the PS3 needs an exclusive Prologue to take the place of the original game.

What's the point of bringing the sequel to the PS3 and then withholding chunks of the game and narrative.

Exclusive games are fine. Exclusive content isn't.
