Zombies confirmed for CoD Black Ops

Combat the zombie apocalypse in up to four-player co-op gameplay.

Activision and Treyarch have announced that the popular Zombies game type is coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops.

"Zombies have been such a hit with our community that we were committed to bringing brand new zombie experiences to Call of Duty: Black Ops," said Treyarch Studio Head, Mark Lamia. "We've taken extra special care to retain the essential ingredients of our Zombie game, and have also crafted a nice surprise for the fans."

Zombies was first introduced to the Call of Duty franchise in Treyarch's World at War and is also available as a standalone game for iPhone and iPod touch.

Call of Duty: Black Ops will release worldwide on November 9.

I love zombies and am very excited about this news, but why all the delaying about this? It's not exactly a big announcement, just a one line special saying that there will be zombies. Strange.

meh didnt like zombies mode.
just gives them an excuse to release map packs with a zombies map and 3 pretty crap maps for 800 ms points.

I am honestly glad regardless of the fact that I never played WaW.
Now I don't have to endure a load of moaning and anger about the lack of a zombie mode :)
