Infinity Ward set to eliminate CoD4 cheats

Xbox 360 patch is going through certification now.

Posting on the fourzerotwo twitter, Infinity Ward community manager Robert Bowling has revealed that Call of Duty 4 cheats on Xbox 360 better start running; an imminent patch is set to eliminate all of them.

"A patch is in the works to eliminate the cheaters in COD4 on Xbox360. Going through certification now," twittered Bowling. "Cheaters days are numbered."

Good news for all the non-cheating Call of Duty 4 players.

Probably ranking cheats. Or Lag Switching cheats. Epic had a good peice of code which was released for use to microsoft and partners to find and ban these players. While it doesn't deal with the cheats while playing in that game the cheat is then prevented from hosting again for ever. And gamertag sent to Microsoft.

Anyone know what cheats they re trying to eliminate - is it to do with these rapid fire joy pads?
I guess I've been lucky as I didn't come across to many cheats on COD4 - Plenty of campers though - it's like Woodstock sometimes! - LOL!
