Sure to be a monster hit, Call of Duty 4 for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 hits stores this Friday. After a break from the series which saw Treyarch developing Call of Duty 3, Infinity Ward is back at the helm and gamers are in for a real treat. The game is packed with a host of new single-player game modes and a completely reworked multiplayer experience, rewarding players with new weapons and other nifty additions for their efforts. Halo 3 may have set the bar high, but Call of Duty 4 could well stand just as tall.

LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga screenshot

Activision's week gets even better with the release of Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga. Bringing the entire Lego Star Wars experience to consoles for the first time in one game, The Complete Saga includes all-new levels, characters, visuals and on online co-op (PS3 and Xbox 360 versions only). PS3 gamers are getting Lego Star Wars for the first time, while Xbox 360 look to be getting plenty to make it worth double dipping.

WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 screenshot

WWE is a bit of a guilty pleasure. It's like a soap opera only with acted out fights to break up the dialogue. It's the constantly evolving and diverse range of characters which have given the franchise such monumental success, and in this year's edition of the video game players get to create their own wrestler with even more detail than ever before. Most exciting, for me anyway, is the ability to create a custom entrance, complete with music of your choice. Also new this year is a selection of wrestlers, arenas and weapons from ECW.

Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction screenshot

After an excellent run of titles on PlayStation 2 and a great debut on PSP, the Ratchet & Clank franchise is set to make its PlayStation 3 debut this week. Tools of Destruction is easily one of the finest titles available for the PlayStation 3, offering sublime visuals, fun gameplay and plenty of comedy moments for which the series has become famous. There's no multiplayer this time though, instead a very polished single-player experience that's very worthy of your money.

Gears of War screenshot

The multi-million selling Xbox 360 stop-and-pop action title is set to arrive for PC this week. The universally praised Gears of War returns with improved visuals, enhanced multiplayer and five new single-player chapters including a battle with massive Brumak. The game will also ship with a level editor, which should lead to a host of user-generated content appearing very soon. Look out for our opinion on the PC version shortly.
