Borderlands 2 News for Xbox 360

Borderlands 2 release date is September 21

Pre-order to gain access to the Borderlands 2 Premiere Club, offering in-game items and bonuses.

Borderlands 2, the sequel to the multi-million selling hit Borderlands, will be released on September 21, 2012 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, 2K and Gearbox Software have announced.

"Borderlands 2 is a passion project, through and through," said Randy Pitchford, president of Gearbox Software. "The result is a sequel that has improved every successful aspect of Borderlands while innovating with an all-new experience."

Borderlands 2 will allow friends to play together locally via split-screen, as well as online with drop-in-drop-out capabilities.

Gamers who pre-order Borderlands 2 from participating retailers will gain access to the Borderlands 2 Premiere Club, allowing them to download the Gearbox Gun Pack, a Golden Key and the Vault Hunter's Relic.

The Gearbox Gun Pack is a collection of unique guns to help players begin their journey on Pandora. The Golden Key is an in-game item used to unlock a rare item in the mysterious Golden Sanctuary Loot Chest found in Borderlands 2. The Vault Hunter's Relic is an in-game item that boosts players' gear-hunting fortune while playing solo or teaming up with friends.

Couldn't be happier - beautiful trailer just looks like Borderlands but better, and that can't be anything but amazing. Smoother, bigger, better, and as long as they sort the friends list issue it'll be the best thing ever :)

Day one buy! DAY ONE BUY I TELL YE'S! I just have this hunch that the game will get delayed by a month. Halo 4 to release in September? Usually is Halo month, but who knows!

I'm not missing the boat in this one, took me years to try and experience the Diablo-esque glory of Borderlands. This time around I have plenty of notice and plenty of time to save. Plus my wife is totally sold on it as well, so split screen co-op ftw!! Hopefully this time around with can play split screen AND go online co-op as well, that would really make my day!

97.6% more "WUBWUB" and released the day before my b.day, but ill just get it for myself, ive earnt it ;)

I'll probably go Salvador first, then Axton, Mara and then Zero last, switching to a new class after completing the campaign with a completely diffetent one is going to be interesting, but who cares, its borderlands, and theres a pre-order pack :D
