BioShock Infinite Ultimate Songbird Edition features 9.5 inch statue

The BioShock Infinite Ultimate Songbird Edition has been revealed by Irrational Games' Ken Levine.

The impressive set boats a 9.5 inch statue of BioShock Infinite's Songbird, conceived by Robb Waters, the concept artist who visualized the cover of System Shock, the Trickster in Thief, Man-Bot in Freedom Force, BioShock's Little Sisters and BioShock Infinite's Songbird.

The Songbird Edition also includes all the contents of the Premium Edition:

  • A 3-inch baby version keychain of the sold-out Murder of Crows vigor bottle replica.
  • A 5 x 7-inch lithograph by Jorge Lacera.
  • A 25 millimeter, resin-cast Handyman miniature from the upcoming BioShock Infinite board game by Plaid Hat Games, makers of Summoner Wars.
  • A mini art book, full of BioShock Infinite concept art and commentary, with a hand-distressed cover.
  • Various digital goodies: exclusive in-game gear, a digital soundtrack, and platform specific downloadable content (Avatar costumes for Xbox 360, and Themes for PC and PlayStation 3).

The Songbird statue, the Murder of Crows keychain, and the Handyman all come in separate custom packaging.

Both Collector's Editions will be available in limited quantities, with pre-orders available from Monday.

I've been good these past few months, haven't pre-ordered a lot of games, and have cut down on spending. Whenever I see these collector's edition I usually rush them the checkouts, but when you get to a point where you find yourself constantly chucking out old collector's edition loots... well, you just have to ask yourself do you really need to buy these? Doesn't help that most of my purchased games end up sitting on my backlog, and sometimes just get traded in unplayed.

Cutting down on blu-ray and music purchases too. My goal is to slowly cut out as much junk as I can from my life.

My pile of junk is still growing though. <sigh>

As a proper BioShock but, one of these is definitely a pre order. If the big one is £100> then it's that one for sure.
