Welcome to Heads-up,'s weekly feature which gives you an at-a-glance run-down on the games you'll be able to buy or rent this weekend. Every Tuesday we'll pick out the best of the bunch, link to our reviews and previews and keep you in the video game loop so you have enough time to pre-order for Friday's post. Time to splash the cash.

Recommended: UFC 2009 Undisputed - Xbox 360 and PS3
If you're tired of the same old beat 'em, boxing sims and wrestling games, UFC Undisputed 2009 might be just the ticket. Developer Yuke's has created a fighter that's brutal and in-depth, and it'll make you wonder why its WWE games feel so clunky in comparison. UFC lacks the style and showmanship of the WWE, but you can't beat two guys kicking and punching the crap out of each other. UFC Undisputed is a gamble for THQ so we hope its hard work pays off. If this is what the first in the series is like, we can't wait for the sequel.

Also worth a look
Punch-Out!! and Pokemon Platinum may well have warranted 'Recommended' status, but having not played the final games yet we're edging on the side of caution. Things look promising for the two Nintendo titles though, so look out for reviews soon. Anno: Create A New World is also potentially a must-own title for Nintendo's platforms, although we need a little longer to see if there's real depth behind the excellent presentation. Capcom's Bionic Commando is perhaps the most disappointing game of the week, not because it's a bad game, but that it's just not up to par with Capcom's recent output.
