Activision CEO Bobby Kotick has expressed concern over Battlefield 3 on consoles, echoing what the rest of us have been saying since the game's debut: what's it like on consoles?

"So far I've only seen Battlefield 3 on a PC, I haven't seen it on a console where the bulk of our business is," he told CNBC.

"If it's just a PC title, as it looks like today, that's just a small audience to participate," he added.

Kotick clearly knows the game is coming to consoles as well as PC, but wanted to have a dig at the fact EA is yet to show the game on anything other than a high-end PC.

Battlefield 3 will launch on October 28, just under two weeks before Activision's Call of Duty 3 arrives worldwide on November 8.

All I can be bothered to read.. First sort your posts out and, secondly, it's not a worldwide release. The UK (The sites base) will be getting it on the 28th, the yanks (at a guess, you) will be getting it on the 25th. I will be getting it, hopefully, before both of those dates for review.

Right, onto the REAL posts:
The E3 demo was, indeed, compilations of PS3, 360 and PC footage. If you can tell the difference, which I can't, then you guys are a better man than I!

I will post a source for my knowlege once I have found one.

It would be nice if you formatted your posts so that people could read them at least. First one has no paragraphs, second one has far too many.

There is no way at this time you can know if Battlelog will be better than Elite. A paid service usually outperforms a free one, and even though the stat-tracking aspects of Elite are to be free, the fact that there is a subscription model suggests that they will at the very least be excellent. As a fan of Autolog, I do have to say that it does not even begin to compare to bungie.net in terms of stats, and since bungie is the obvious source of inspiration, is it not possible that Elite will actually be the best of all three?

No offence intended. If you want to make a persuasive article please bother to get the release date correct. Multiplatform game Battlefield 3 will be released on the 25th of October, Exactly two weeks before MW 3 release and will have it's multiplayer BETA out on the 23rd of September named 'Operation Metro' for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC but only made available to those (including me) who have Medal of honour limited edition or tier 1 edition, BETA code is activated when you activate your online pass on Medal of honour menu screen/ multiplayer start up. There wont be many changes for the console based version of BF3, consoles will feature a scale down on map size and player count from PC version 64 player mode to 24 player mode for console based play but will still run fine despite high performance requirement for PC's/ remember with console you dont need to worry because the attributes to the console are evened out for that reason having a high 3.2 ghz processor, and GPU clocked at and over 700 Mhz for both Xbox 360 and PS3. i have Xbox 360 and my cousins both have PS3 and Xbox360. Both are great consoles, only difference in first hand experience is the different companies that make the console and the different design. If you ask me i prefer Xbox 360 with a 1080p output display HDMI cable because of its multitasking and better experience, security and people who go online. What would you expect if its made by Microsoft with the Boss as Bill gates the innovative man that changed computer experience to what it has developed to date. PS3 is for those who most likely want free internet access and dont want to pay for online service. Even before the PSN got hacked were SONY thinking of a compulsory pay for PSN access to ensure the security of customer accounts and continuous top quality maintanance on bugs and glitches and threats, also servers. Plus PSN is laggy and xbox live is top notch. My preference lies with Xbox 360 for outmost performance and security. One last thing for BF3, EA and DICE have introduced the "free" equivalent of call of duty elite called Battlelog it has the same offering +++++ more.

Well Kotick, at least it will look a little different from the last Battlefield game. Unlike Modern Warfare. Besides, it's highly unlikely that Battlefield will look anything below stellar on consoles.

Maybe it's a stretch, but EA's CEO was quoted yesterday as saying that the BF3 trailers were compiled from footage from X360, PS3 & PC. They just did the E3 demo presentation on a PC. See link...

"Battlefield 3 will launch on October 28, just under two weeks before Activision's Call of Duty 3 arrives worldwide on November 8." missed out the Modern Warfare bit

On topic. I fell like Pc will be where the war between these two games are fought. What game has the best support be it servers, map editing etc will win the hearts of the more focal community of gaming
