Battlefield 3 Premium subscribers could be given access to the Battlefield 4 beta later this year, according to an alleged screenshot taken from EA's Origin.

The screenshot, posted by Battlefield fan site, appears to list the Battlefield 4 beta as part of Premium's features, in addition to access to Battlefield 3's expansion packs and bonus items. has been unable to independently verify the information found in the screenshot, but given EA's desire to grow its number of Premium subscribers, including access to the beta doesn't seem too far-fetched.

Battlefield 4's beta is expected to start this autumn. So far, access to the beta is only guaranteed to fans who picked up Medal of Honor: Warfighter's Limited Edition.

However, the publisher confirmed last year that "there will be other ways to get into the [Battlefield 4] beta aside from MoH Warfighter".

EA has been teasing details on Battlefield 4 throughout last week. A first look at gameplay will be revealed this Wednesday.

As mentioned, it's a good way to swell the Premium member numbers. I'd be a bit annoyed though if I were one of these people who cherry-picked the DLC instead of paying for DLC they had no intention of playing (e.g. Close Quarters).

I, myself, bought Battlefield 3 Premium Edition for £19.99 on PC which is a good bargain. I did have it on Xbox 360 but I sold the console off so had to start over.

Battlefield 4 doesn't excite me as much as it would've done last year, but hopefully they do some good things with it. I just detest the DLC/unlock milking that has came out of BF3. It does leave a very sour taste.
