EA has released a few nuggets of information about upcoming Battlefield 3 DLC Aftermath.
Aftermath's four new maps will take place in post-earthquake Tehran - an event which takes place in the game's single-player campaign - with cracks and fissures in the terrain providing unconventional cover.
Aftermath will also feature a new, currently unspecified, game mode alongside new assignments, weapons, achievements and dog tags. New vehicles will arrive in the form of modified civilian and military transports.
"With operational capacity severely compromised the opposing forces must adapt and engage in vertical and horizontal urban combat amongst the dust and rubble with cracks and fissures in the terrain providing unexpected cover and paths to objectives," says EA's official site.
PlayStation 3 owners get a one-week head start on all Battlefield 3 content, and Premium subscribers across Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC also get new bits and bobs a week early.
The Battlefield 3 DLC calendar lists Aftermath for a December 2012 release. The next chunk of content, Armoured Kill, will be released in September.
