Battlefield 1943 News

For:Xbox 360  Also On: PS3PC Release Date: 7 July 2009

Currently only for 360 players - PS3 game still needs to register a further 20 million kills.

Xbox 360 players of Battlefield 1943 have already achieved the goal of racking up 43 million kills, meaning EA and DICE have unlocked the Coral Sea map as a free download. This brings the total number of maps in BF 1943 to four.

PS3 owners are still waiting though, with the current kill tally standing at just over 25 million. And before you begin thinking that the difference is because the PS3 game launched a day after the 360 version, while that's true, the kill count only began last Friday when both versions were available to purchase.

So, does this mean the Xbox 360 game has achieved significantly more purchases? Perhaps, but maybe it's because PS3 gamers don't die so easily.

There are more 360's than PS3's. Thus, there are more people playing the 360 version. This is hardly rocket science...
