Ubisoft has revealed that the next instalment in its Assassin's Creed franchise, confirmed earlier this week to feature a multiplayer element, will continue the story of Assassin's Creed II and hero Ezio.

"We have a new Assassin's Creed that we expect will be a very high quality product that as well as an offline component will have a multiplayer component," said Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot.

Guillemot also explained that development is to be handled by the same studios responsible for ACII.

Ubisoft has said the game will be out before the end of March 2011, but based on the franchise's release history a November 2010 launch seems most likely.

Gosh, my thoughts were so limited now I thought about it.
I never considered any of these places,
I reckon there should be a whole thread dedicated to Assissin's Creed 3 Ideas!

I was hoping we'd go back to Egypt - or, and this might be fun - AC3 having a series of flashbacks, going to the 6 assassins featured in the tomb! :D

Well I think his need in the story has finished as well in my view. I think another setting would be a better move.

I always hoping for a bit of present day and Sanurai wars in Japan.

Hmm, think I've lost interest in this one already. I really couldn't give two *****s about Ezio, he's a bit of a douchebag if I'm honest. They're also going to have to think up some ridiculously lame reason as to why Ezio no longer lives in Italy... OH GOD WAIT... when did Italian people start moving to New York? ;p

I was hoping it was gonna be Japan tbh. I like the idea of different cities and cultures being explored in the next game like they did with this one.

"Possible settings could be feudal Japan or medieval Europe, said Philippe Bergeron, lead mission designer at Ubisoft Montreal to German television show PLAY’D."

I loved Neon's idea of a caveman Assissin's Creed lmao.
I think an Assassin's Creed set in medieval England was be bloody brilliant as well!

Its nice to have a game to have familiar faces but this does shw some lack of imagination... still this will probably be a brilliant game.

Hmmm I want one set in Medieval England!

Oh and I wonder if this could be a yearly Franchise ? I mean it works for a COD, and this game has a MASSIVE time line of History to play with, I can see it working

Look at the Total war series their is like nearing 10 of them now and they still rock
