Armored Core 4 on PS3 given April 27 release

505 Games has announced that Armored Core 4 will be released for PlayStation 3 on April 27.

The latest in the long-running mech combat series is soon to be released in the UK. 505 Games has announced that the series' first entry on the PlayStation 3 will be available from April 27.

Fans of the series will know what to expect, only now thanks to the power of the PS3 you're promised astounding visuals and eye-watering special effects, including dynamic lighting and shadows, swirling water and mysterious fog.

The game features a wealth of multiplayer modes including deathmatch games which can be played against players the world over. Players will even be able to exchange emblems and entire robot creations.

There's no mention of the Xbox 360 version which SEGA will be publishing alongside the PS3 version in North America.
