Gearbox still working on Aliens game

'We're really excited about it' says Pitchford.

Gearbox co-founder Randy Pitchford has confirmed his studio's SEGA published Aliens: Colonial Marines lives on.

"We have an Aliens game with SEGA and 20th Century Fox which we're really excited about," he told MCV. "It's the thing I've been stealing from all my career. Now I'm really working on it, but we've been quiet about that so far."

With the success of Rebellion's Aliens vs Predator - the year's fastest-selling game so far - SEGA will no doubt be keen to see Colonial Marines follow in its footsteps.

The game is currently without a confirmed release date.
