Gearbox president Randy Pitchford has finally acknowledged a discrepancy between the released version of Aliens: Colonial Marines and a version demoed to press which was also later released in video form.
Asked on Twitter why the demo looked much better than the final game, Pitchford replied: "That is understood and fair and we are looking at that. Lots of info to parse, lots of stake holders to respect."
Any further comment on the matter isn't likely to be made on Twitter however, with Pitchford suggesting we may hear more via another means of communication.
Pitchford did, however, put various outlandish conspiracy theories to bed.
"Some people are claiming that the positive comments I replied to are from fake accounts. I feel like I just woke up in crazy town," he wrote.
He also denied claims that the studio had used SEGA's Aliens funding to help development of Borderlands.
"False by a LONG SHOT," said Pitchford. "Borderlands success actually helped to finance all other projects..."
