Game developed by Microsoft interns and released for free in the US gets PEGI rating.

A few weeks ago Microsoft decided to release Aegis Wing, a side-scrolling shooter developed by three Xbox Live Arcade summer interns, for free. Free stuff is always great, but not so much when it's only offered to a certain group of gamers.

According to Microsoft the game only had a US release because of the cost involved in bringing the game to Europe. However, it looks like MS has had a change of heart as Aegis Wing has now received PEGI certification.

Although no release date has been announced the PEGI rating is a strong indicator that we'll be seeing the game soon.
