Despite racing to the top of the chart last week, Eidos' Battlestations: Midway was unable to hold on and has slipped quite dramatically to No.8. In its place strides EA's FIFA 07, claiming its tenth week at No.1. EA's Need for Speed: Carbon also had a good week, climbing five places to No.2.
Pro Evolution Soccer 6 climbs up a place to No.3 and THQ's Supreme Commander is the week's highest new entry at No.4. Avatar: The Legend of Aang has a solid second week and climbs into the Top 10 for the first time.
Nintendo's Excite Truck for Wii hasn't gotten off to the best of starts with a chart debut at No.36 but it could pick up next week following a strong ad presence on TV. It did, however, perform much better than Fuzion Frenzy 2 for Xbox 360, which only manages to place at No.10 in the Xbox 360 chart.
This week sees the long awaited UK release of Final Fantasy XII and it is fully expected to enter at the top of the chart. It will have some stiff competition from Microsoft's Crackdown though, especially with the added pull of a place in the Halo 3 multiplayer beta. Also making their way to store shelves this week are Kororinpa on the Wii, Ghost Rider from 2K Games and The Warriors for PSP.
