Splatoon has received its first content update, offering players a retro-themed weapon, a new stage and game mode.
First up is the rapid-fire N-ZAP '85 weapon, which is based on the classic NES Zapper light gun - a nice touch for those Nintendo gamers old enough to remember playing Duck Hunt.
Also new is the Port Mackerel map, which is joined by King of the Hill style mode Splat Zones.
And finally, level 10 players and above will now be able to take part in Ranked Battle mode.
