GAME has announced that it will be opening its flagship Oxford Street store at midnight on Thursday December 7 for the Wii launch.
The launch of the Wii is fast approaching in the UK, and for those of you desperate to get your hands on Nintendo's latest console, you'll be pleased to hear that GAME will be opening its flagship Oxford Street store at Midnight on Thursday, December 7. This will give gamers the ability to pick up their pre-ordered console in the early hours of December 8.
At the launch you can also expect to be entertained by music, competitions, pizza delivery and demonstration Wii pods to play on. There will also be a countdown to the midnight launch, at which point the first Wii will be sold to the person at the front of the queue.
Anna Macario, GAME's Marketing Director stated, "We are anticipating huge crowds of customers will come to our Oxford Street store to get their hands on their Nintendo Wii at the first possible moment. The console has been hotly anticipated by thousands of customers who have reserved this console for weeks in advance and we are working flat out to make sure customers get the products they want first."
It's not just the Oxford Street GAME store that will be opening at midnight, so we advise that you ask the store you've pre-ordered with about their plans for the Wii launch.

What a dumb idea, all those poor people stuck in the cold damp weather for a stupid console, they should do it early morning on 27th nov and also give me one for free.

Console
I remember queuing for 12 hours to get a PS2 and I didn't even know what it was. Used it as a door stop for six weeks before my roommate pointed out to me its other uses.
