"The most important advance for video games in the last 10 years was the introduction of Super Mario 64, which ushered in the era of true 3-D gaming," says Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime. "Wii will have the same effect on how players connect to their games, and it is made for everyone. Simply said, games have never felt like this before."

  • Chicken Little: Ace in Action
  • Need for Speed: Carbon

Nintendo has also reiterated that it will be shipping four million Wii systems across the world before the year end, although has not announced launch allocation for regions outside of Japan - 400,000 units are confirmed for the Japanese launch.

The Wii goes on sale in North America on November 19, followed on December 2 in Japan, and then in the UK on December 8.
