Acclaimed video game designer Shigeru Miyamoto has confirmed that the next Wii instalment in the Legend of Zelda franchise will make use of the Wii MotionPlus accessory.

"In this [instalment of the series], we’re using MotionPlus to make you feel much more like you’re actually fighting while holding a sword in your hand,” said Miyamoto at a recent Q&A session in Tokyo.

He added: "In the previous game, you aimed at things by pointing at the screen, but this time we’ll use MotionPlus to create a much more convenient targeting system and a more pleasurable playing experience."

Miyamoto didn't confirm if the new Zelda title will have a mandatory requirement for Wii MotionPlus or if the accessory will simply offer users an enhanced experience.

If not overdone, could be good. I'm glad he's putting it on the Wii and not the "next" Wii. Shows Wii support. It would boost Wii sales, again.

But, but, Link didn't have a sword in the art work :? Also, pointing could do with some heavy auto aim.
