The Wii's premier launch title has already moved beyond the one million sold milestone in the US.

It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, but The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess has sold in excess of one million copies in the US alone. Speaking to IGN, Perrin Kaplan confirmed that the game is the first Wii title to reach the milestone in that territory.

Nitpickers will no doubt point towards Wii Sports, which technically has sold as many copies in the US as Wii systems, but comparing a pack-in title to a standard retail release is a little unfair. Kaplan also pointed out that Nintendo is still confident of shifting six million Wiis worldwide by the end of March 2007.
