During Nintendo's pre-E3 Media Briefing the company proudly trumpeted that there would be 27 playable Wii games on the show floor. Here they

Firstly, when executive vice president of sales and marketing, Reggie Fils-Aime, told the audience that 27 games would be playable, I think that was a little misleading. Yes, there is a good number of playable Wii games on the show floor, but some are merely tech demos of what might eventually become a game. I'm talking about the shooting, table tennis and Obstacle demos. Also, of the 27 games, Wii Sports, a collection of sports games, is counted four times.
Of the playable games, Super Mario Galaxy is winning most praise, with Zelda also doing pretty well for itself. Metroid Prime 3 has come under a bit of criticism for less than spectacular graphics coupled with a slow turning speed, and while Excite Truck is proving to be fun, many are just asking why Excite Bike for Wii wasn't made instead. One of the Wii's most talked about titles pre-E3 was Ubisoft's Red Steel, but it hasn't really lived up to the hype it took with it into the show.
A release date for the Wii and a launch line-up are to still to be revealed, but you can expect some of the games on the list above to be released on day one.
Expect a full rundown of our thoughts after E3

Wii Vs. PS3
I think PS3 will be about the same as the Wii. The thing i don't understand is the Wii will be about $300 and the PS3 will be about $600. I am going to stay loyal to the PS3 and get it insted of the Wii.

BOYS REMEMBER SONY ARE STILL THE TOP DOG IN THE BUISNESS...XBOX360 WASNET ALL THAT..IT PLAYED THE SAME AS ANY ORTHER CONSOLE EXCEPT BETTER SPECS....AS FOR SONY THE SAME MIGHT GO FOR THEM BUT I THINK THEYL STILL BE IN FIRST PLACE...WII SECOND..IF IT GETS DECENT GAMES AND NINTENDO STAR BRINGING OLD LEGENDS OR BETTER YET NEW ONES THEY COULD GIVE SONY A RUN......BUT IF NINTENDO REALLY WANTS TO GET AT SONY THEY SHOULD INCREASE THE SPECS FOR THE WII....IT LOOKS THE SAME AS THE XBOX..THEY LOOSE GAMERS OVER THAT

Lack of Content
Consoles arent supposed to be all about the 'specs'. It's about the ability to create good games that have lasting/replay power like Nintendo. The fact that PS3 gets so much attention is only because of the fan boys, it is not because of the content Sony is producing. If Wii ends up making a ton of games that really engages the end user Sony will start loosing its base.

I agree wiv Brian, consoles should have lasting/replay power. Nintendo do this easy wiv mario and metroid prime.
