Namco Bandai has announced the spring North American release of Tamagotchi Party On! for the Wii.

Tamagotchi Party On! is a 3D party game based on the hit Tamagotchi franchise, and will offer plenty of fun as four players go head-to-head in a comical race to become the most popular Tamagotchi on Tamagotchi Planet.

Players choose their favourite virtual pet and then take part in a series of mini-games in a quest to become president of Tamagotchi Planet - players must gain support from over six different towns. Over 15 unique games are included, such as shaking hands, finding lost children, and testing your public speaking skills. In order to be the best, players will have to swing, shake, point and twist their Wii controllers, all the time increasing their popularity.

Players will earn Gotchi points along the way, and these can then be used to level up their character and customise their Tamagotchi headquarters.

Tamagotchi Party On! is scheduled for a North American release on the Wii in the spring, and although nothing has been announced it's likely that a European release will follow later in the year.
