UK gamers left in the dark following US and Japan release delay.
Nintendo UK has refused to comment on whether the recent official delay of Super Smash Bros. Brawl in Japan and the US will impact on the game's as yet unannounced European release.
Earlier today we reported on word from Nintendo that the North American release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl for Wii will now be on March 9, a month later than the previously confirmed February 10 date.
In Japan the game will now arrive one week later than previously announced, making it to retail on January 31.
Currently the game is still without a European release date and was missing from Nintendo Europe's most recent release schedule, leading to speculation that it won't make it out in Europe until after June 2008.
When asked whether the recent US and Japan delay would have any impact on an EU release, a Nintendo UK spokesperson simply stated that "no European date has ever been announced for Smash Bros", leaving European fans in the dark over one of 2008's most anticipated games.
Rest assured, as soon as we get word on SSBB in Europe we'll let you know. Until then, why not check out the latest screens from the game?

wtf june. In the uk we speak the same language as the use. How can it take that long for them to get a rating from the bbfc or why do we have to wait for them to make the french, german, swedish, spanish, italien..... translations for the whole of europe. This is discrimination!!!!!!!!
