Mother 3's child-psychic, Lucas, joins the cast for Nintendo's highly anticipated sequel.
The characters appearing in Nintendo's upcoming Super Smash Bros. Brawl has been a hotly discussed topic ever since the game was announced. Nintendo, by way of the official Super Smash Bros. Brawl website, has announced the identity of a new character: Lucas from Mother 3.
In the west Lucas isn't the most high profile of characters, but in Japan gamers are likely to be singing in the streets. For those not familiar with Mother 3, Lucas is a child psychic who has a timid nature, yet according to his short bio "fights splendidly".
Lucas joins a cast of newcomers which include Pit, Wario, Zero Suit Samus, Ike, Pokemon Trainer, Diddy Kong, Meta Knight and Snake.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl is scheduled for release in North America on December 3, with a European release to follow in 2008.

Trust me, Sonic WILL be in the game. It is inevitable. As are more Pokemon (in Pokeballs anyway) and Luigi.
As for the Fantastic Four and Shadow... :s
