Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is the "greatest" Star Wars game ever made, according to the game's producer.
Speaking to VideoGamer.com at an Activision/LucasArts event in London last week, Cameron Suey, the producer in charge of the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game, said that in his opinion The Force Unleashed, which sees you play Darth Vader's previously unknown secret apprentice in an adventure that takes place in between the two movie trilogies, has the greatest story of any Star Wars game.
AdvertisementWhile there have been some serious Star Wars video game stinkers down the years, there have been some absolute classics, too, including Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series and the X-Wing series. However, Suey believes The Force Unleashed, due out on Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Wii and DS on 19 September, tops them all.
Suey said: "I'm a humble guy so I try not to use a lot of hyperbole, but it's certainly the greatest Star Wars story that we've ever told in a videogame. I absolutely love the gameplay. This is the first game I've worked on, in about four years in the industry, in which I still love the game even a year-and-a-half after I've been playing it a little bit every day. Working so closely to it, usually you get sick and fed up of a game, you never want to see it again once it's done, but I still have fun every time I pick up the controller. Early on that was one of our primary goals and we achieved that. So it's certainly the most fun that I've ever played and it's certainly the greatest story of a Star Wars game."
When asked if he would go as far as to say The Force Unleashed was the greatest Star Wars game ever made, Suey replied: "You know what, I'll say it, it's for me, and greatest applies to value judgement and opinion, it's definitely the greatest Star Wars game. I'm of course biased!"

"has the greatest story of any Star Wars game" - I'll bet a million bucks it's not even going to come close to the KOTOR games. At least he's admitting bias, but I'm sure its going to be good, shame that there's not going to be a PC version, though.

Well, i dont know how good that games going to be but i definetly loved the battlefront games. I still love them alot and play them every week. I hope this game will also be good. Im pretty sure its going to be an absolute marvel.

I believe it.
There is a very real potential for this game to be absolutely amazing; but there is also always the chance that they are using the Star Wars title to get everyone hyped up over a piece of trash.
A turd is still a turd no matter how good it looks and how polished it is.
Very possible, but not inevitable. We shall see. :)

Also; on reading Emanuel's comment, i want to see a new battlefront game.
Can you imagine how amazing a next-gen battlefront game will be?
Honestly its ridiculous how badly i want that game.
