The top two remain unchanged with Final Fantasy XII on PS2 once again proving too strong for the Xbox 360's Crackdown. The Top Ten sees two new entries in the form of The Sims 2: Seasons at No.3 and SEGA's Sonic and the Secret Rings at No.5. Sonic's Wii debut (Virtual Console aside) also manages to top the Wii chart.

Outside the Top 10, Take 2's Ghost Rider enters the chart at No.24 in its second week on release. Promotion of the movie could see the game climb further up the chart next week.

Next week sees the release of two real heavy hitters: GTA: Vice City Stories for PS2 and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 for Xbox 360. Both games will be challenging for the top spot and make it hard to envisage Final Fantasy XII taking a third week at No.1.

Friday also sees the release of Bullet Witch, Sid Meier's Pirates! for PSP, Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis, M.A.C.H., Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin and Dogz 2.

If only Bullet Witch wasn't...broken! *sobs heavily* :( I'll still pick it up once the price drops past twenty more towards fifteen, though...Because I do want to play it, but I just can't justify (based on the US reviews) buying it for any more than that. I feel bad for the cause of trying to have a broader range of titles in Europe - I'll be all over EDF 2017, which looks great fun - but Cavia should not have delivered a glitchy shooter with highly suspect AI on both enemy and ally. The worst, though, is that the publisher ok-ed this. Thought it acceptable. I really wanted to support the game, but I just can't, as the effort they've put in, simply doesn't qualify it. Pity, indeed.

Ah well, next week looks set to bring my DS out of its extended hibernation, with Spectrobes and Lunar Knights both looking tasty.
