Welcome to Heads-up, VideoGamer.com's weekly feature which gives you an at-a-glance run-down on the games you'll be able to buy or rent this weekend. Every Tuesday we'll pick out the best of the bunch, link to our reviews and previews and keep you in the video game loop so you have enough time to pre-order for Friday's post. Time to splash the cash.

Recommendation of the Week: Prince of Persia - Xbox 360 and PS3
We've had our eye on this as a potential game of the year since it was first announced, and while perhaps just short of that mark it's still a brilliant return to form for the series. Stunning visuals, brilliantly simple platforming gameplay and tight combat combine to make this a must own for all action adventure game fans. There's also a touch of Crackdown-style orb collection, which is bound to please completists looking to eek every possible minute of gameplay out of their games.

Recommendation of the Week: GTA 4 - PC
Although released on Xbox 360 and PS3 in April, PC gamers have got a version of GTA 4 that's been worth the wait. The core 10/10 scoring campaign hasn't been changed, but the visuals benefit from high end PC hardware, there's a brand new video editor and the multiplayer mode has been enhanced to include 32 players. We know GTA 4 has been on the end of a fair amount of criticism since the console versions hit, but we're still confident this is one of the best video games you'll play this year.

Recommendation of the Week: Animal Crossing: Let's go to the City - Wii
Yes, Let's go to the City is more or less the same as the previous two Animal Crossing games. Yes, Nintendo probably could and should have done a lot more in the three years since Wild World hit the DS in Japan. And yes, the Wii Speak peripheral isn't quite as revolutionary as Nintendo would want us to believe it is, but this is still a highly addictive game that you'll sink hours and hours into, whether you're a newcomer or Animal Crossing veteran.
