Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition set for European release this summer with the all new Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles arriving in the autumn.
Resident Evil 4 was released to critical acclaim on the GameCube, with a more feature rich version later arriving on the PlayStation 2. It's now been confirmed that a Wii version is heading to Europe this summer.
The Wii version will include all the extra content found on the PlayStation 2 version including the Ada Wong 'Separate Ways' campaign, plus additional Wii Remote and Nunchuck support enabling players to aim, fire and slash with motion controls.
Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles is scheduled for release in the autumn and has been specifically created around the unique characteristics of the Wii hardware. The game is an action/shooter hybrid and reveals the back story behind the fall of Umbrella Corporation by exploring locations from Resident Evil 0, 1, 2 and 3, plus never before seen areas.
Gameplay is a mix of first-person, light-gun style combat with interactive pathways and we're promised multiple weapons and new enemies to create an entirely new Resident Evil experience.
