Red Steel 2 pushed into 2010

Wii exclusive shooter misses previously planned 2009 launch.

Ubisoft has announced that Red Steel 2, the follow-up to the successful Wii launch title, will miss its planned 2009 release date.

The game will now hit stores during Ubisoft's fourth fiscal quarter - January 1, 2010 to March 31, 2010.

Christmas just keeps getting cut on all consoles.

That is bad news. IMP, this was the top game that Wii owners were looking forward to this year...something to allow MotionPlus to shine.

I wonder if it has to do with the MotionPlus itself. I just purchased Wii Sports Resort and MP is both good and bad. Concerning sword fighting you do have a 1:1 feel, however, I believe it still needs work on proper blocking and how to implement it with walking and movement, with the addition of the other weapons.

This could be pushed to next summer.

I was looking forward to pick this up this year.

Looks like Ubisoft has been disappointing a lot of fans. Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon and I Am Alive < those two I haven't heard much about anyway even at E3 so thats reasonable and now this.

Lets just hope that Assassins Creed II doesn't get delayed! If that happens then my loyalty with Ubisoft would be somewhat destroyed.
