Speaking to, Ubisoft executive director Alain Corre has revealed that the recently announced Wii MotionPlus will help Ubisoft's developers improve Red Steel 2.

"Red Steel 2 has been in development for many months now, and this new device will help us be even more precise in what we do with the product," said Corre.

Corre also acknowledged that the first game, released at the launch of the Wii in Europe, was a first attempt at a new technology and will be improved upon for the sequel.

"So Red Steel is a brand, and as with every brand we have, we now have to reach the top quality possible," said Corre. "What was missing was the preciseness of the sabre - and with this new device I think it will change the experience."

I think I'll buy the MotionPlus accessory knowing that Red Steel 2 is using it, I think I'll get it bundled with Wii Sports Resort.

Fantastic news!

Hopefully this will improve the sword fighting a lot. Red Steel 2 appears to improve everything Red Steel had along with new features such as WiFi, so this news will hopefully make the game better.
