Speaking to CVG, Goichi Suda aka Suda 51, has revealed disappointment in the poor sales of third-party Wii titles in Japan, and expressed a belief that only Nintendo is profiting from the console's success.

According to Suda sales for his latest title, No More Heroes on Wii, "weren't as high" as he had hoped but notes that "other titles for Wii aren't selling so well either".

He ads: "Only Nintendo titles are doing well. This isn't just because of the current situation in Japan, as this is happening outside Japan."

Suda also revealed his surprise at the way Nintendo has targeted the Wii at casual gamers.

"... before I was making this game, I wasn't expecting that Wii would be a console targeted only for non-gamers. I expected more games for hardcore gamers. The reality is different to what I expected," he said.

No More Heroes is scheduled for release in the UK, gore excluded, on February 29 and it's hard to see the game selling any better here than it did in Japan.
