Mini Ninjas Features for Wii

On: WiiXbox 360PS3PCDS

Welcome to Heads-up, VideoGamer.com's weekly feature which gives you an at-a-glance run-down on the games you'll be able to buy or rent this weekend. Every Tuesday we'll pick out the best of the bunch, link to our reviews and previews and keep you in the video game loop so you have enough time to pre-order for Friday's post. Time to splash the cash.

Recommended
It's obviously sill season as there's not one, not two, but five games we recommend you buy this week! Racing fans are in for a real treat with Need for Speed: Shift on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC marking a new beginning for the long running racing franchise. MotorStorm: Arctic Edge is hot on its heals, offering a more edge of your seat off-road racing experience for PSP owners. The career mode is rather basic, but this is one of the most impressive PSP games released this year.

It's a trio of console games arriving on PC next, but these aren't average games by any means. Batman: Arkham Asylum, Red Faction Guerrilla and Resident Evil 5 each earned hugely impressive 9/10 review scores when we looked at the console versions earlier in the year. With some enhanced visuals, those with beefy PCs can enjoy the best versions available.

Need for Speed: Shift - Xbox 360, PS3, PSP and PC
MotorStorm: Arctic Edge - PSP
Batman: Arkham Asylum - PC
Red Faction Guerrilla - PC
Resident Evil 5 - PC

Worth a look
There are some really solid games in our worth a look section this week, some probably good enough to get a recommendation during lesser weeks. There's also something for everyone, with aerial combat from Heroes over Europe, wackiness from Katamari Forever on PS3, cuteness from Kirby Superstar on DS, stylish violence on next-gen consoles from Wet, sport from NHL 2K10 on next-gen and a bit of classic Motown from SingStar Motown on PS3 and PS2.

Heroes over Europe - Xbox 360, PS3 and PC
Katamari Forever - PS3
Kirby Super Star Ultra - DS
NHL 2K10 - Xbox 360 and PS3
WET - Xbox 360 and PS3
Sing Star Motown - PS3 and PS2

And the rest…
Blood Bowl - PC, DS and PSP
Casper Scare School Spooky Sports Day - Wii and DS
Clever Kids: Creepy Crawlies - PC
Clever Kids: Pet Store - Wii and PC
Dawn of Magic 2 - PC
DJ Star - DS
Go Play: Lumberjacks - Wii
Happy Party with Hello Kitty and Friends - DS
Hasbro Family Game Night Volume 2 - Wii
